7. Ready Player Two Publication Date Announced
The sequel to the hit novel Ready Player One, which went on to become a big-budget movie, is due out on November 24th. Pre-orders for the highly anticipated Ernest Cline title are already available.

6. Umbrella Academy Season 2 Trailer
The Netflix original series The Umbrella Academy, based on the comic of the same name from Gerard Way and Gabriel Bá, dropped a season two trailer on us! The season is due out on Friday, July 31st.
5. The Boys Season 2 Trailer
Not to be outdone, the Amazon Prime series The Boys also released a season two trailer this week! Based on the comics by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson, The Boys is a mature-rated superhero show that follows a team of vigilantes that fight against a corrupted group of corporate superheroes.
4. Kang the Conqueror Invades Marvel Champions
The Once and Future Kang (seriously, how brilliant is that name?!) is an upcoming expansion for the hit Marvel Champions tabletop game. The scenario will split the party as Kang whisks the heroes across both time and space before culminating in a final showdown. No release date has been set.

3. Star Wars: The Bad Batch Gets a Spin-Off Series on Disney+
The genetically-deviant clone crew that calls themselves The Bad Batch, first introduced in Star Wars: The Clone Wars animated series, is getting a series of their own. Set in the aftermath of the Clone Wars, it will answer the question, “What will the clones do when the war for which they were created is over?”

2. North American Comic Sales Record
Graphic novels and periodical comics brought in a total of $1.21 billion in 2019 – a new record for sales in the industry. Graphic novels seem to rank as the preferred format, and those marketed to children are given major credit in the surge in sales.

1. Far Cry 6 Cinematic Trailer
Giancarlo Esposito lends his visage and voice to the newest installment in the hit Far Cry video game series as the antagonist Antón Castillo – the dictator of the fictional nation of Yara which finds itself in the midst of a revolution. Players will assume the role of Dani Rojas, a Yaran guerrilla revolutionary. The game is set for a February 18, 2021 release.
