7. Peter Dinklage Tapped for Toxic Avenger Reboot
The Game of Thrones star will play the titular hero in Legendary Pictures’ reboot of the cult classic from Troma Productions. Lloyd Kaufman and Michael Herz, the cofounders of Troma Production, are also attached to the project as producers.

6. Mads Mikkelsen Replaces Johnny Depp as Grindelwald
Mikkelsen will replace Depp in the upcoming Fantastic Beasts 3 film, which is already shooting. Depp had reportedly only shot one scene, so the recast will likely have little impact on the production schedule (though COVID certainly may continue to affect it). The movie is currently set to release on July 15th, 2022.

5. Joss Whedon Departs The Nevers
The Nevers is described as a “sci-fi epic centered around a gang of Victorian women with special abilities on a mission that could change the world.” Whedon was set to write, direct, and produce the series for HBO, but has stepped away from the project. HBO has since stated that the show is still on track to debut summer of next year.

4. Kadabra Making a Return to Pokémon TCG After Magician Uri Geller Gives Permission to Nintendo
Geller sued Nintendo over what he considered likenesses between Kadabra’s appearance and Japanese name and his own. As a result, the Pokémon has not been featured on a card since 2003. He cited an overwhelming number of emails from fans over the years begging for him to give permissions to Nintendo.

3. The Expanse Renewed for 6th Season
With the Season 5 premier just a couple weeks away, the 6th and final season of Amazon Prime’s The Expanse has been announced. The final book, Leviathan Falls, from James S.A. Corey is due out next year. So far, the seasons of the show have closely adapted a book a piece.

2. Paizo Inc Announces Pathfinder: Secrets of Magic
The Pathfinder 2E rulebook adds rules for two classes: The magus and the summoner. Its 256 pages will also contain new spells, magic items, lore, and new methods for spell casting. It will release August of 2021 and retail for $49.99.

1. Bob Ross Art to Feature on Magic: The Gathering Basic Lands
The late Ross’s iconic landscapes will adorn all five basic lands in the “Happy Little Gathering” collection – with each land featuring two Bob Ross designs. The set can be purchased in both foil ($39.99) and non-foil ($29.99) finishes, and are available for preorder through December 14.
