The Falcon and the Winter Soldier Trailer
Baron Zemo is back and he is as determined as ever to topple society’s trust in and reliance upon super heroes. And he’s got his trademark mask this go-around!
Last time we saw him, he was imprisoned. How did he escape? It is likely related to The Snap. Maybe he perished during that event only to reappear later outside of his confines. There’s a small chance the Flag-Smashers sprung him (they’ve been confirmed by the show’s own Zazzle page).
Which leads us to the female who appears to be leading said Flag-Smashers. The internet, of course, abounds with speculation as to who this femme fatale might be. Some think she’s Sin – the Red Skull’s daughter – which would be a neat tie-back to Captain America. Her red hair could further validate this theory.
Spectators of the filming done in Atlanta saw something that made them suspect she might be Songbird – which could lead to her teaming up with Zemo down the line for The Thunderbolts.
Then of course there’s the question of who is Captain America? Steve seemed to bestow the mantel upon Sam at the end of Endgame, but John Walker is shown in a very similar suit to Rogers’ getup – and with a shield, no less – in the public eye. Could be that the government is trying to have their say in the matter. Plus Bucky has served as Captain America in the comics, as well. Both Sam and Bucky are alternatively shown wielding the shield in the trailer. This will certainly be a source of tension and conflict in the show.
There’s also a lot of hype surrounding Madripoor and its tantalizing possibilities – including another in route for mutants. PLUS Sharon Carter is back!
It certainly looks like there’s a lot to be excited for from the show.
The Falcon and the Winter Soldier‘s first episode will air on March 19th.
