Marvel Strike Force: The Dark Dimension 2

Welcome back to MSF Mondays!

Each week we break down one more aspect of the hottest mobile game, Mobile Strike Force!

This week is the second part of the Dark Dimension series I am doing. Last week we talked about DD 1, and really, DD 1 is a means to an end for DD 2. If you fully accept you are in for a long grind with DD 1 and stay focused on DD 2 and beyond, you will excel as you enter the late game of MSF!

Dark Dimension 2

While you do not need to complete DD 1 to enter DD 2, the rewards from DD 1 will help build your team for DD 2, so it makes sense to go in order. Be mindful – the team that completes DD 1 may not be the team that is best to get you through DD 2. There are many great videos out there on how to build the best team for DD 2, and here is a GREAT beginners guide to Dark Dimension by GoofyRhexxi

My man GoofyRhexxi covers a lot of ground in his video, and he even starts to help you focus out to DD 3!

While I am a proponent of playing this game for fun, and upgrading the characters you like because it is your prerogative, I would urge to make sure you are thinking of DD 3 as you prepare your team for DD 2. If you are wanting to go as far as possible as you can in this game, then you really do need to consider that there is a series resource limitation as you get into the late game, unless you can whale out and buy what you want with real life currency.

I was very close to going all in on a Guardians of the Galaxy team for DD 2 when I watched a couple similar videos to Rhexxi’s and then I stopped and waited on the right combo of characters for me.

Dark Dimension 2 Team Recommendations

Here is a list of 7 NON-Legendary characters you should pour into for Dark Dimension 2 and 3 characters:

Symbiote Spiderman – without hesitation, I can say you will NOT regret upgrading SSM, because he is a legit powerhouse! While he is hard to unlock because his release was milestones a few months back and now he can only be found in Milestone orbs, he is absolutely worth pouring resources into!

Scientist Supreme – Unfortunately for me, I did not jump on the A.I.M. train early enough to cash in on SS for DD 2. She is universally one of the best toons for the Dark Dimension, so if you can, pivot immediately to include her on your building forward!

Mr. Sinister – was the KEY for me to finally getting past DD 1, and he is a no brainer to pour resources into for DD 2 and 3 in my opinion. Sinister not only clones a toon form the other side, but also has a good heal for his special ability.

Carnage – One of my absolute favorites, Carnage is a tough farm because Carnage is located in the WAR store, and the highest priority in that store must be Mr. Sinister. Second for me, was Carnage. While you also may need to use War store currency on Sif to unlock Black Bolt, she can be found elsewhere, so hopefully you get some lucky pulls on Sif shards, freeing you to purchase Carnage in the War store!

Minnerva – Another toon who is extremely hard to come by, Minnerva is yet another universal late game character. He ultimate is absolutely vital as you steal health from your opponents, to refresh your team! She can quickly turn the tides of any node! You don’t even need high stars on her, just put gear on her and let it ride!

Hela – She is one of the best damage dealers in the game as her ultimate is not only devastating but spreads negative affects! She is a perfect pair with Carnage as he opens up with a huge amount of bleeds on his target and she can spread to the rest of the enemies. They can put your in the drive seat when their ultimate attacks line up well!

Thanos – Thanos is one of my favs, and he pairs perfectly with Minnerva to feed her energy so she can get her ultimate off more frequently. I sandwiched Minnerva between Thanos and Starlord and the trio was amazing!

Of course, there are the normal legendary toons you MUST use for DD 2 and 3 if you have them: Black Bolt, Phoenix, and Ebony Maw. Starlord is also VERY useful alongside Minnerva in DD 2, but people are cooling on him because he is not as good for DD 3. But I have no regrets for using him on my first run.

The last non-legendary I highly recommend is Emma Frost, but since she is being released in milestone events only right now, she is very hard to come by unless you planned well in advance.

Ebony Maw: May 25th, September 14th (Requires Inhumans 5-star with Black Bolt)

Phoenix: June 8th, September 28th (Requires Mystic Villain Controller 6-star)

Star-Lord: June 22nd, October 12th (Requires Guardians or Ravagers 5-star)

Nick Fury: July 20th, November 11th (Requires Kree Minions 5-star)

Magneto: August 3rd, November 23rd (Requires X-Men and/or Brotherhood 5-star)
