Marvel Strike Force: Fantastic 4…6?

Marvel Strike Force Invisible Woman from the Marvel Strike Force blog (https://marvelstrikeforce.com/en/updates/community-update-8-16)

Welcome back to MSF Mondays!

Each week we break down one more aspect of the hottest mobile game, Mobile Strike Force!

This game is quite adept at pitting 5 toons against another 5 toons, as most games modes are just that. So, it makes sense that most teams are groups of 5 – Wakandans, Asgardians, Symbiotes, just to name a few.

However, as the game masters at Marvel Strike Force have been introducing so many new characters, some teams exceed the standard frame size of 5, while others remain short of 5 total. For instance, the Sinister Six went from 5 to 7 in the past few months, whereas the Young Avengers remain at 4. And don’t get me started on the X-Men right now.

That being said, what do we do with these unique Marvel Strike Force teams and how do we maximize their combos?

The next few articles are going to focus very specifically on these unique teams and the best compositions and variations as you unlock characters.

Marvel Strike Force: Fantastic Four

Marvel Strike Force Fantastic 4 1

The first group we are going to focus on will be one of my personal favorites, Fantastic 4. I also think that Invisible Woman is one of the first Legendary characters which you should unlock, as Sinister Six characters are used to unlock her and they are relatively some of the easier farms.

As the name would imply, there are 4 true members of this team, at least originally. In this game, they were given Namor as their “unofficial” 5th member, which certainly works according to comic book source material. This team is also one of my favorite War offense teams.

Then, of course, MSF had to go and complicate things with the introduction of She-Hulk. They gave her synergy with the Fantastic 4 because that is also canonically accurate within the comic universe.

With She-Hulk’s addition, most of the synergies are enhanced on WAR defense, and we will get to that specifically. But overall, we had to figure out how to best utilize these toons across the board. Some experts suggested to just make She-Hulk the 5th and find a new home for Namor, and there are some other good suggestions in this video by Tauna .

However, I decided to split my Fantastic 4, and here are the teams I came up with:

Blitz

For Blitz, I have Reed, She-Hulk, Thing, and Torch with Namor because they are all relatively similar power. I have Sue Storm on a hybrid team with my 3 higher-powered Symbiotes and Vision. These teams do fine for Blitz and Blitz is kind of an auto-gameplay anyway.

Raids

Invisible woman also helps in Raids with the same team…until she dies. Then, I just replace as I move up: the Symbiotes carry the team, and everyone else is just filler until I get to the later notes, where I use Mr. Sinister and Emma Frost.

WAR

This is where it gets interesting, while most people just suggested replacing Namor with She-Hulk and running Fantastic 4 on WAR defense I just didn’t like the idea of losing one of my best WAR offense teams.

I remembered back to the days before Sue Storm and She-Hulk. Back then, I used my Fantastic 4 with similarly powered toons. If I remember correctly, my favorite team from that era was Torch, Thing, Namor, Karnak, and Mordo. When I added Mr. Fantastic, I finally moved Karnak to my Inhumans team. Then, Sue replaced Mordo. The offensive punch in War even without Sue and Reed was great.

Therefore, I decided that as I leveled up She-Hulk, that I was going to experiment and do a little split-squad action.

Invisible Woman, She-Hulk, and Reed Richards are on defense with Nick Fury and Agent Coulson and they are rather formidable.  I realize many player may not have Coulson because he is exclusive to the Milestone Orbs. An alternative could be Hulk just to protect Reed and Sue for a longer period of time.

Marvel Strike Force Fantastic 4 3

My Offense is Johnny Storm (Torch), Ben Grimm (Thing), Namor, Captain Marvel, and I am currently experimenting with Psylocke or America Chaves. Both toons bring a little different feel to the team, so it really comes down to what team I am attacking. If the enemy team throws a lot of early debuffs, then I roll Psylocke. If they are a bit squishy, I roll with Chaves instead.

While a lot of people were split about adding She-Hulk because it complicated things for the Fantastic 4 team, I have enjoyed the opportunity to tinker with the team and find new combinations for WAR. Hopefully, you will be able to do the same!

Well I hope this helps you take your Squad from a D+ to a B- Commander!
