Marvel Strike Force: Avengers – Part 1

"Marvel Strike Force Cap vs Red Skull" by Marvel Strike Force Blog https://www.marvelstrikeforce.com/en/media#&gid=1&pid=2

Welcome back to MSF Mondays!

Each week we break down one more aspect of the hottest mobile game, Mobile Strike Force!

This game is quite adept at pitting 5 toons against another 5 toons, as most games modes are just that. So, it makes sense that most teams are groups of 5 – Wakandans, Asgardians, Symbiotes, just to name a few.

However, as the game masters at Marvel Strike Force have been introducing so many new characters, some teams exceed the standard frame size of 5, while others remain short of 5 total. For instance, the Sinister Six went from 5 to 7 in the past few months, whereas the Young Avengers remain at 4. And don’t get me started on the X-Men right now.

That being said, what do we do with these unique Marvel Strike Force teams and how do we maximize their combos?

The next few articles are going to focus very specifically on these unique teams and the best compositions and variations as you unlock characters.

Marvel Strike Force: Avengers

Marvel Strike Force Avengers - Budabest

In my first post of this series we focused on one of my personal favorites, Fantastic 4. This time around, we are going to tackle the Avengers tag. Quite a few of the Avengers are easily obtainable early game now, so this is one of the first teams you should be focusing on. Especially WAVE I, as they can be a very useful Arena team early on!

However, currently there are 14 characters with the Avengers tag:

  • Captain America
  • Thor
  • Hawkeye
  • Hulk
  • Agent Coulson
  • Vision
  • Black Widow
  • Iron Man
  • Black Panther
  • Falcon
  • Scarlet Witch
  • War Machine
  • Ant-Man
  • Nick Fury

While having this many toons to choose between can potentially be overwhelming, the game essentially hands you a few characters first. Hawkeye is a low-level unlock and right now Thor and Captain America are both in calendars for new players. Black Widow is also a pretty early node so you can start unlocking her as well. You can get a lot of SHIELD character shards early to help you unlock the Legendary Iron Man. Achievements are the main way to get Hulk shards. So, inside of your first month, you could have a legit team of Wave I Avengers, and this is a solid team.

So then, what happens as you unlock more Avengers? Which are the best to combine together?

I think the Avengers can actually carry you in the early game a long way, so while I always suggest building wide, you wouldn’t regret focusing on your Avengers until about level 60, gear tier 9 and 5-5-5-3 on abilities, then you should be much more selective on who you power up. The Avengers pose an interesting opportunity with some many characters sharing this tag. You will also not likely unlock all of them right away, so you have to just wort of roll with what you’ve got. My recommendation is to focus on duos with the Avengers tag as you unlock them, so let’s get to it!

Wandavision

…it’s a thing! Unfortunately, you end up moving Scarlet Witch to Supernatural once you have that team and then Vision is somewhat out in the cold because he is no longer needed on Power Armor. He was once the unofficial 5th member, even though he doesn’t have to PA tag. However, once IronHeart came to MSF, he got lost in the shuffle. If you can keep these two together for a while they are great, and Vision is a pretty great plug-and-play toon once Wanda moves to Supernatural. I would go higher in power on Vision than Scarlet Witch.

Buda-best (it’s lame I know)

Black Widow and Hawkeye share an assist synergy and both should be unlocked early on, so you should focus on these two characters in tandem. Hawkeye is the less useful of the two as you move towards the endgame, so be selective in what you put into him. And while Black Widow is decent going into tough game modes, I wouldn’t over invest in her either.

Coulson and Fury

This is a combo that might take a while to unlock, but once you have them, I would use them together, along with some minions. However, I would not level up minions too high. Of course you should get high stars on them through farming, in order to unlock Iron Man, but minions really are not great, so I would not go much higher than level 50, gear tier 8-9 and max 5-5-5-3 even with Coulson and Fury.

Iron Man and War Machine

If you have War Machine’s passive at level 2 (and why wouldn’t you?) he gains death proof upon spawn and grants death proof to Iron Man. This makes both really sustainable early on, and once you can get to War Machine’s ultimate ability, he can just about wipe out opposing forces! These two also stay together when you form power armor, and they are great alongside Falcon, who I would add to this duo as soon as you unlock him!

These duos are great, especially as you build a wide roster, and in my next post I will tackle the specifics on the Wave I Avengers and how to maximize them for specific game modes!

Well I hope this helps you take your Squad from a D+ to a B- Commander!
