Marvel Strike Force: Avengers – Part 2

"Marvel Strike Force Cap vs Red Skull" by Marvel Strike Force Blog https://www.marvelstrikeforce.com/en/media#&gid=1&pid=2

Welcome back to MSF Mondays!

Each week we break down one more aspect of the hottest mobile game, Mobile Strike Force!

This game is quite adept at pitting 5 toons against another 5 toons as most games modes are just that. So it makes sense that most teams are groups of 5, Wakandans, Asgardians, Symbiotes, just to name a few.

However, as the game masters at MSF have been introducing so many new characters, some teams have exceeded 5 members, while others remain short of 5 total. For instance, the Sinister Six went from 5 to 7 in the past few months, whereas the Young Avengers remain at 4. And don’t get me started on the X-Men roster right now.

But in terms of Marvel Strike Force, what combinations of toons work best? We’re focusing on the Avengers again this week, after the brief introduction last week. Let’s break it down and see what we can come up with.

Wave I

So there is a sub-team inside of the broad Avengers, and that’s the Wave I team. You have Thor, Cap, Hulk, Iron Man, Black Widow and Hawkeye. There was a recent rework on this team which brought this team back into usefulness! Also, these toons are all early unlocks as the new player calendars feed you a lot of these characters. So, I highly recommend building Wave 1 Avengers up from the start!

There are of course some things to understand going forward with this team:

You have 6 members total, so you have another opportunity to get creative, but the game will eventually force your hand at this with other teams for specific characters. For example, once you have all the Asgardians unlocked, Thor should be moved to this squad. Iron Man also belongs with the Power Armor team.

Essentially, you have 4 Wave I toons remaining. You certainly could use them all together or make your own hybrid team(s) being mindful of the dynamic duos that should pair synergistic toons together. With that said, let’s go a little more in-depth to the importance of this team for the new and early game players!

Marvel Strike Force Avenger Wave I

Wave I Avengers all the way. Lined up, left to right, Thor, Iron Man, Cap, Black Widow, and Hulk once you have them all. This team will wreck mostly due to Hulk, Cap and Thor’s passives! Black Widow is also a really formidable toon going into the mid to late game so you can invest in her without much hesitancy. Also, while Iron Man is technically a Legendary, do not go heavy on building him up, because he is not a centerpiece to either Wave I or Power Armor.

Raids

Early on, your raid teams are who you end up with, but this Wave I Avenger team should be great in Raids until you get to U5 and beyond or past level 2 Greek raids. Once you hit U6 and beyond you should have a META Raid team like the Symbiotes. Also, after Greek level 2, you will need multiple teams for Raid, so make sure you are building wide.

WAR

Again, you will want to build wide to have plenty of teams for WAR, but the Wave I squad will be a very effective team, and as you unlock more characters, you will have toons to move around to make many effective squads.

Arena

Perhaps the most important area for your Wave I squad in the early game will be Arena. While I do not suggest going so hard at Arena early on, you will want to try to hang right inside the 1500 ranking for the rewards. The Wave I squad will be a good defense and offense team. Go bigger on Thor and make sure you upgrade his passive!

Well I hope this helps you take your Squad from a D+ to a B- Commander!
