Marvel Strike Force: There is a Bad Moon Knight Arisin’

Welcome back to MSF Mondays!

Each week we break down one more aspect of the hottest mobile game, Marvel Strike Force!

We have a Milestone event for Moonknight coming! This is not the same type of Milestone stone event as we just had for Emma Frost, though there is a rumor surfing the content creators channel about a new character who will be released in that manner. No, this event will be like the Red Guardian milestone event. Which hopefully will allow for people to get 4 maybe even 5 stars on Moon Knight right away! Moonknight is a highly anticipated character in our Alliance as he is a fan favorite for many of us Nerds!

You can view the character spotlight here.

Moon Knight and White Tiger have been touted as game changers and the New Shadowlands team is jumping right into the Meta conversation with their unique abilities! Regardless if you are interested in finding out how Moon Knight and the Shadowlands team can impact your progress, you will want to give your best effort in this event.

This event will have layers of participation, your main objective is to use characters with the Nocturnal tag (which we have not seen in game yet) in modes such as Blitz and Arena to gain points as an individual and as alliance for one of the Milestone tabs. If your Alliance is blasé about these types of events the alliance team objectives aren’t usually that big of a deal. They are more like icing on the cake of your handling your own business in these events.

Also, some individuals just approach these events as “I will do my normal playing and get what I get, and that is fine! However, these types of events are must participate events, because the stars on characters are often the hardest to make up for after the release event. And you very well may need this team to unlock a legendary at some point, so 5 stars should always be the goal!

Marvel Strike Force: Maximize the Moon Knight Event

Here’s how to maximize the Moon Knight Event:

Blitz

When we find out the nocturnal characters, run down your blitz squads to see where most of them fall. Perhaps you can just stick to your normal blitz rotations and be good in this event. However, for the Covert Ops I found that it was beneficial to take away my two bottom blitz teams and create 2 teams of the highest level event characters to use my blitz refreshes on.

The only problem with this strategy is if you absolutely need high numbers in blitz because of the characters offered. For me, Minnerva and Psylocke are at a decent starting level, so if the event begins tonight as many are anticipating, then I will be fine to Blitz this way to start the event. If there is a premium character I need during this event, I may change my strategy slightly on the blitz recharges.

Also, what MSF has been doing recently is giving more points to those who actually go into the blitz battle with these characters than those who simulate. The trick of course is you enter but full auto the match to save on time. I only did this when it came down to the 2 top tagged teams, since the points do accrue faster!

Arena

What worked well for me during the Covert Ops event was maintaining my top 100 ranking with my first 1-3 attacks then using my remaining attacks with my top 5 tagged characters. I was almost assuredly going to lose, but I just needed the bonus points for the event and that was a sacrifice I was willing to make. Though, my defense remained the same and I can generally stay in the top 100 without much in-game effort!

Opening Orbs

While seed theory has perhaps been beaten to death, there are plenty of theories about saving orbs and opening them all at once to get a more consistent chance at drop rates.

What I might pitch for our Alliance is something we have been talking about for a while: saving up our Moon Knight orbs and setting up a video call in our Discord to pop them all together and see who is lucky and who is not. The Alliance aspect is still my favorite part of the game and it would be a fun way to open our orbs. But I imagine Sam_Wich will not be able to wait to open his orbs!

Well I hope this helps you take your Squad from a D+ to a B- Commander!
