Welcome back to MSF Mondays! Each week we break down one more aspect of the hottest mobile game, Marvel Strike Force!
Campaign Events are absolutely my favorite new character release modes. While you are somewhat at the mercy of RNG with drop rates, I very rarely miss out on a 4 star character in these events, and it is quite possible to attain a 5 star toon! Which is great considering you don’t have to put in much time in game if you play these events well!
The next campaign event will release Multiple Man, who looks to be a rather unique character to MSF! Here is a good video on the event by Mr. F2P on how to maximize this event!
Most of these videos are pretty similar, and the advice here will sound overall similar to my past campaign event posts as I have broken down most of the info from any of the videos you can find into these easy steps!
Marvel Strike Force Early Campaign Grind
As you begin the campaign you will of course assemble your team of 5 toons and power through the nodes. The game also has a recommendation of Level 60, gear tier 9, and ability level 5. These should be adequate, though you may have to work a bit to 3 star the later nodes.
It is highly recommended to focus on 5 toons that you will want to level up regardless of the event. This event you will need to select from characters who have the Super Sleuth tag and here is my list of top 10 non-legendary characters to use:
- Minnerva,
- Ghost,
- Beast,
- Loki,
- Black Widow,
- Ghost Rider,
- Shatterstar,
- Longshot,
- Bishop,
- Kitty Pryde.
Essentially if you can, I would go with a hybrid Astonishing X-men (AX men) and X-Factor. But Ghost and Minnerva are high level for me so I will likely build around them. You won’t regret pouring resources into any of these characters if you have them unlocked and ready for this event!
As you progress through the campaign, you want as many 3 star unlocks as possible, so then you can go in each day and cruise control with auto win with your daily energy!
Even if you hit some nodes that you can’t 3 star, you want to get the first victory unlocks so keep pushing forward.
Marvel Strike Force Campaign Cruise Control
When you do this, make sure to always go to your furthest progression point and work backwards. As you collect orb shards I recommend hoard and opening all at once, but I get it, we play a game on our phone cause we are all about the quick fix! So do what you want with your orbs. Your goal should be 4 star character unlock and you could possibly get 5 star with lucky pulls. But don’t be dismayed if you don’t get all Multiple man in the middle column of these orbs, because there are a lot of other characters worth getting through these orbs.
Marvel Strike Force Campaign Energy Refreshes
If you have been wondering what to do with extra core currency, this is what you have been waiting for! I use all my 50 core energy refreshes for normal campaigns and often for ISO. Any other cores I have, I spend in these events! You want to maximize you orb opportunities!
Some additional benefits from these events are:
1 – You can land harder-to-farm characters through this event!
- Beast – finally node farmable in Nexus 5.6
- Squirrel Girl – farmable after level 70
- Ironheart – farmable after level 70
- Bishop – not currently farmable
- Loki – mystic 3.6
Highest on my wish list here is Bishop who is not currently farmable and is a legit top tier character.
2 – You can save on valuable currency to farm other characters
- Ghost – WAR store
- Minnerva – WAR store
- Graviton – WAR store
- DareDevil – Arena store
- Quake – Arena store
- AIM Researcher – Arena store
War and Arena store currency! While the Arena store characters are great, these WAR store toons are all must-have characters!
3 – You can save on time in-game
There are a variety of toons in this orbs that have farmable nodes in game, but farming can be such a grind, so if you can scope up 8-12 shards of a character in this event and use the normal campaign energy for gear, that is a great use of time in game!
Not to mention if you are pushing for upcoming Legendary events, you can maybe get ahead of your farming time table with a long list of toons who will unlock a legendary:
Kitty, Bishop, Beast, Psylocke, Ghost, Loki, Mantis, Quake, Black Widow, Cable and Stature.
Well I hope this helps you take your Squad from a D+ to a B- Commander!
